BALI - Island of the Gods
Bali is a magical Indonesian island known for its iconic rice paddies, stunning forested mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. The island is home to a unique form of Hinduism and mystical temples and religious sites such as the cliffside Uluwatu Temple and the water blessings at Tirta Empul. As you walk around this serene island you will never be far from the sounds of Gamelan music, Barong dancing and the heavy scent of incense in the air.
Bali is working hard to become a plastic free, green and environmentally aware country. Vegetarian and organic restaurants abound in the spiritual centre of Ubud, and eating well here is a given - even the delicious locally produced chocolate is 100% organic!
After Yoga Activities
You are very welcome to relax by the pool with a book at Shanti Agung in our free time. But you may also want to explore this enchanting island a little further ....
Markets are a car ride away, but we can help you organise a lift into Ubud to shop in the craft shops and feast in the organic eateries
Explore the islands hidden natural gems
From natural are pools to swim in a short walk away, to rice paddies to explore close by, monkeys to visit in the sacred Monkey Forest, and if you still want more you can climb Mount Agung (if you fancy a 5am start!) Some activities are free, some will cost you some extra Rupiah.
Temples and Festivals
There are many temples close by to visit, and further afield are the world famous Tirta Empul, Tanah Lot and Uluwatu Temples. If you want more yoga a spiritual music then Ubud can provide all of that and more.
