Getting started with meditation can be a bit tricky - I know I've been there too! The BENEFITS of meditation are really well documented, from relieving anxiety, tension and stress, through to easing depression and giving our brains and bodies space to ease and 'come home' ... that positive, yummy list of goodness is pretty much endless, and I'm sure you'd love to gain some or all of them. BUT let's be honest, getting started with a meditation practice isn't easy on your own. That's where I can help!
This is a 2 hour workshop that will take you through the basics of when, where and HOW to get yourself going on this valuable journey. First, we will work out how to find a comfortable seat (which is really important and there are heaps of options available), a good place and time for you to work this in to your day and then I will introduce you to a few techniques and we will try then all briefly. Some techniques you will like, some perhaps you won't, but there will be one that works well for YOU (we are all different after all) and we will then work out how to establish that into your daily life.

Back care workshop
This is my most popular workshop, since most of us suffer from back or neck pain at some time in our lives. Whether you are a yogi or not, this workshop will have something to offer you. I take you through the basics of spinal anatomy and alignment and then take a good look at your own alignment (using mirrors and cameras you will get a good idea of where things might be a bit off for you). Together we will then look at how to sit, stand, walk/run and sleep in such a way as to keep yourself pain free and in good alignment. Finally I take you through some very basic yoga poses to complement all we have spoken about, which you can take home and work on at home. It's 2 hours very well spent.
