Anusara yoga
Flowing with Grace
If you are new to yoga or just want to take things at a steadier pace, then Level 1 classes are for you!
In these classes, we take things steady. You will feel stretched, strengthened and toned after class, as well as calmer and more prepared to face the challenges of your day. By paying close attention to your alignment and keeping the class at a safe, steady pace, Sarah introduces not only physical poses, but also how to use your breath and meditation to create a steadier, calmer more zen version of you. Level 1 classes are all 60 minutes long. It's nice to have your own mat, but there are also ones to borrow if you forget! |

When you have some yoga experience under your belt (at least 6 months please!) you may feel ready to up the ante a bit, and move to Level 2.
In these classes we start to challenge oursleves! In most classes you will find yourself upside down and playing with some more challenging poses. There are always 'bus stops' given though and Sarah invites you to 'get off the bus' when appropriate for you! In Level 2 you will experience more physical challenge, and a greater opportunity meditation and hear philosophy. Anusara yoga balances body, mind and soul with its strong and steady physical alignment system. Little gems of philosophy are woven into every class that can be taken off the yoga mat and applied to everyday life. Level 2 classes are 75 minutes long. |
Now this is a bliss-filled and yummy class that I highly recommend EVERYBODY should try! Honestly, it's fab!
Open to every level of yogi, this stress relieving class comprises 45 minutes of Restorative (think very, very gentle) yoga poses, followed by 30 minutes Yoga Nidra (on the edge of sleep Zzzzz). Restorative poses are completely passive, using props and bolsters that will all be provided for you. These poses will gently unwind you physically and mentally, shifting the nervous system into ‘rest, restore, recover’ mode. Yoga Nidra is the perfect antidote for the stressors of our everyday lives. I will guide you into a state perfectly balanced between the edge of sleep and wakefulness, where both the conscious and subconscious can heal and relax. Restorative Yoga provides great balance to a more active yoga practice and lasts between 60-75 minutes. |
